Saudi authorities free citizen held for four years by Houthi militia

Saudi national Nasser al-Zarwi had a tearful reunion with his family on Tuesday night at Jeddah International Airport.


:: Saudi Arabia’s authorities freed a Saudi citizen from a Houthi militia detention center after being held for four years.

The family of the freed national Nasser al-Zarwi had a tearful reunion with him on Tuesday night at Jeddah International Airport when he came down the steps of the plane with a scarf around his neck sporting the Saudi flag colors.

Jazan Ibrahim al-Zarawi, his cousin said in an interview giving details, that the family received a call two weeks ago from Nasser that he was fine and asking them to pray for him.

The earlier call from Nasser to his worried family was 10 months ago, said Jazan.
