The Saudi Ministry of Media organized the 2019 Media Excellence Awards on Monday in Riyadh, in the presence of Media Minister Turki bin Abdullah Al-Shabanah.

:: The Saudi Ministry of Media organized the 2019 Media Excellence Awards on Monday, at the Hilton Hotel in Riyadh, in the presence of Media Minister Turki bin Abdullah Al-Shabanah.

The award covered 10 different categories, with the Saudi pizza chain, Maestro Pizza, winning the award in the private and non-profit sector video category.

In the media initiative by governmental authorities category, the Saudi Federation for Cyber Security, Programming and Drones won its “Imagine the nation without them” production.

In the TV product category, the Saudi Broadcasting Authority won the award for its “Soldier Majed Al-Qarni” movie, and in the radio product category, the Thmaniya radio station won the award for its production “Things that have changed us.”

In the photography category, Dhafer Al-Shehry won for his “Lil-majd Al-Oulya” project.

Al-Watan newspaper won the press coverage award, which was presented to its editor-in-chief, Dr. Othman Al-Sini. Iman Al-Shamri won the award for the best article for her piece “September 23rd for more than 33 million people.”

Poet Abdullah Al-Zahrani was also recognized for his poem “My nation under the shadows of palms” and the General Entertainment Authority won the patriotic song award for “Maw’idouna 2030.”
