Saudi Arabia a beacon of humanitarian action: KSRelief chief
:: Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, the general supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), said on Wednesday that Saudi Arabia has made a significant contribution to alleviating the pain of the injured and the needy and called the Kingdom “a monumental edifice and beacon of humanitarian action in the world.”
Al-Rabeeah was giving a presentation on Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian work at a panel discussion in Brussels, in the presence of the head of the Kingdom’s mission to the EU, Ambassador Saad bin Mohammed Al-Arifi, and officials and leaders of international and European humanitarian organizations.
Al-Rabeeah pointed out that, since 1996, Saudi Arabia has donated more than $92.4 billion to 84 countries, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Al-Rabeeah also met Joanneke Balfoort, the Netherlands’ representative to the Political and Security Committee of the EU. They discussed a number of issues pertaining to aid and humanitarian relief. SPA Brussels
