Severe Weather Alert Across Saudi Arabia
From Friday to Tuesday, Makkah and several other regions of Saudi Arabia are set to experience ongoing thunderstorms, as forecasted by the General Directorate of Saudi Civil Defense.
Residents are strongly urged to prioritize their safety amid this unpredictable weather. The authorities have issued warnings to stay clear of areas prone to flooding, such as valleys, water swamps, and torrent zones. Swimming in these locations is particularly hazardous and should be avoided.
The public is advised to closely follow all safety instructions shared through various media and social platforms. The forecast indicates that several areas, including Taif, Maysan, Adham, and Al-Kamil, will experience heavy rainfall, potentially leading to floods, hail, and dust storms. Other regions like Al-Jumum, Qunfudhah, and Turbah may see lighter showers but should remain cautious.
In the Riyadh region, areas such as Al-Aflaj and Wadi Al-Dawasir are expected to face light to moderate rain coupled with sandstorms. Meanwhile, regions like Asir, Al-Baha, and Jazan may encounter heavier downpours.
The Civil Defense emphasizes the importance of vigilance during these days, encouraging everyone to stay informed and take all necessary precautions.
